Custom software development

Custom business applications built around your workflow.

I’m Sedrick Balandra. I build custom web applications and internal tools that connect the records, tasks, and reports your team needs, from project delivery and invoicing to inventory and administration. The scope follows your users, permissions, and daily workflow.

When a custom app fits

Give your team a workspace for the way it operates.

Custom development can make sense when spreadsheets and separate tools leave important steps between systems: a sale becomes a project, materials are assigned, work is completed, and payments need to be tracked against the same record.

My construction business and project management experience helps me ask about those handoffs before designing the screens.

What I can build

  • Internal dashboards with role-based access to tasks, records, and reports.
  • Project management workflows connecting clients, estimates, delivery, and billing.
  • Inventory, workforce, and administrative tools with connected records.
  • Client portals and web applications that exchange data with existing platforms.
  • AI-assisted features for document preparation or information processing, with review steps where needed.

From requirements to delivery

Start with one useful workflow, then build from it.

  1. Map the workDefine users, permissions, data sources, and the first workflow. Review existing files and tools, then agree on scope and acceptance criteria.
  2. Build and reviewDevelop the interface, database, and integrations in stages. Use your feedback and representative data to check whether the workflow fits daily use.
  3. Test and hand overCheck agreed user paths, access rules, and error handling. Plan deployment, documentation, ownership, and ongoing improvements for the project.

I use Next.js, React, TypeScript, Supabase, and PostgreSQL, selecting the stack for the requirements. AI-assisted development helps accelerate prototyping and repetitive coding; I remain responsible for architecture, code review, testing, and delivery.

Questions about custom business applications

Should I use an existing platform or build a custom app?

Start by checking whether existing software handles the core workflow. A custom app is worth considering when specific permissions, connected records, or process requirements remain difficult to support. I can help compare configuration, integration, and custom development before defining the build.

Can you turn our spreadsheets into an internal dashboard?

I can scope an internal dashboard around your existing spreadsheet records. We first review data quality, how your team updates the files, who needs access, and which decisions the dashboard should support. A first version can import selected records and show agreed statuses or reports; editing, approvals, and connections to other tools are defined as part of the scope.

Can the first version focus on one part of the business?

Yes. We can define an initial workflow with a clear starting point, users, and acceptance criteria, then add features after reviewing it. This keeps early decisions tied to the work your team needs to complete.

What do you need from me to scope a project?

A description of the problem, current tools, sample records, intended users, and the steps they follow is a useful start. Access to required platforms and feedback from someone familiar with the process are also needed during development.

Can you connect the app to our CRM or accounting tools?

Where the platforms provide suitable APIs or supported integration options, yes. We first check access, data mapping, permissions, and update rules. See my API and business integration service for that part of the work.

How do you estimate delivery time?

After reviewing scope, data, integration requirements, and dependencies, I can propose milestones and a delivery estimate. AI-assisted development supports the process, while testing, feedback, and platform constraints still determine the work required.

What workflow would you like to improve?

Tell me about your business, the tools you use, and where the process gets difficult. We can discuss what a useful first version should do.
